New media article: The road to an all-electric fleet and net-zero future
Custom Fleet’s latest media coverage highlights the work we've been doing with Fletcher Building (NZ) to support their transition to a more sustainable fleet.
In the article, our CEO Chris Tulloch offers insights on the benefits of our global/local leverage as a part of Element Fleet Management, the world’s largest fleet organisation.
With access to global fleet insights we can offer our AU/NZ customers best-in-class solutions.
We specialise in helping our customers minimise their environmental impact by making the most informed vehicle and technology choices , Chris says.
As a leader in Electric Vehicle (EV) fleet transitions, it can still feel like fleet electrification is moving quite slowly, with broader limitations on fit-for-purpose EVs and infrastructure delays.
For Fletcher Building (NZ), the limited availability in EV electric, hybrid, or plug-in hybrid utes led to working with Custom Fleet on an alternate solution.
After identifying that Toyota RAV-4 hybrids could be used for a range of light commercial duties, this resulted in a real win for Fletchers as the RAV-4 hybrids have roughly half the emissions of a traditional ICE vehicle.
Through strategic partnering we are finding creative solutions to help our customers meet their sustainability goals, and our work with Fletcher's is a great example.
Chris also shares that a new arm of Element's business is the procurement hub in Singapore, opening this month. Our presence in Singapore is intended to help strengthen our partnership with vehicle manufacturers in Asia - where many of our fleet vehicles are produced.
