Sustainability
at Custom Fleet

For almost forty years, Custom Fleet has supported customer journeys that have efficiently connected people, things, and places. In today’s world, there’s never been a greater need for people to unite and create a better future for everyone.

In pursuit of creating these goals, Custom Fleet is driving our business, our people, and our customers towards a regenerative future.

We’re passionate about achieving meaningful progress on important environmental and societal issues.

To enable our vision for the future, we’re creating change within our business in these key areas:

Reducing our environmental impact

The ability to create a better future depends on the health of our planet.

We’re committed to preventing irreversible damage brought about by climate change. Our commitment is centred on:

  1. Decarbonisation of mobility through low-emission fleet practices, shared mobility, investment in clean energy transportation, and innovation in sustainable mobility solutions.
  2. Decarbonising ourselves though reduction of consumption and waste both for ourselves and our stakeholders, and offsetting residual emissions ethically.

Custom Fleet’s Sustainability Committee, Green Impact, drives tangible initiatives to reduce our carbon footprint by educating and inspiring change from within.

Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging

Our industry leading Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB) Strategy explains our ongoing commitment to remaining an inclusive place for people to work.

Fostering an inclusive culture is critical to ensure all employees feel welcome, safe, and engaged at work.

Our DEIB strategy strengthens our employee value proposition as we continue to work towards being a top employer of choice for diverse talent.

Read more about DEIB at Custom Fleet.

Our Diversity network Diversity network

Custom Fleet’s Diversity network – called Intersection – drives awareness, learning, recognition, and celebration of all things DEIB.

Each stream of Intersection leads a program of work to solidify our employer of choice status including:

  • Delivery of our Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander inclusion
  • Achieving the Australian Workplace Equality Index Awards Gold Status for LGBTQI+ inclusion
  • Achieving the WGEA Employer of Choice for Gender Equality Citation for gender equality

Custom Fleet crew can volunteer to join of one or more of these workstreams, to be part of driving positive change within our business.

For many of our people, this is a passion project, and you’ll find our senior leadership team members attending these meetings, too.

Corporate governance

Good corporate governance is part of the history and growth of Custom Fleet, and it’s an important part of our present, and our future.

We understand our responsibility towards our customers, employees, suppliers, partners, the community, and investors, are this is an important consideration in the management of our business.
